Abstract

In April 2023, more than 99 thousand foreign tourists went to Jakarta, which decreased by 29.51 percent compared to the previous month. Despite the decline, the tourism sector continues to show resilience. The number of visits is still much higher annually than in the same month the previous year, which only reached 36,061 arrivals.

During the first four months of 2023, Jakarta received 483,353 foreign tourists. This figure rose by 443.85 percent compare to the number of the same period last year.

Based on nationality, the highest growth in April 2023 was the Netherlands, with 26.52 percent. In terms of volume, the highest number of arrivals was from China, with total of 17,977 arrivals.
