Abstract

The government has loosened the regulations on community activities, as the COVID-19 cases were under control. At this time, Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition (MICE) activities can be held at maximum capacity. In addition, several international events have been held in Jakarta in June 2022. This condition seems positively impact the Jakarta hotel industry.

Jakarta star hotel TPK in the second quarter of 2022 moved towards improvement. The star hotels’ occupancy rate increased for two consecutive months, reaching 54.3 percent in June 2022.

On the other hand, the average length of stay of star hotel guests declined by 0.13 days from 1.90 days in May 2022 to 1.77 days in June 2022. Meanwhile, the composition of hotel guests was relatively consistent as the previous months. Indonesian guests dominate hotel room occupancy up to 94.6 percent, and the rest were foreign guests with a percentage of 5.4 percent.
