Abstract

The government is trying to encourage the recovery of the national tourism industry as COVID-19 cases slowed in March 2022. Various facilities were provided to foreign tourists, from only one day of quarantine to quarantine-free entry to the capital. This policy taken by the government positively impacts the tourism sector with a surge in foreign tourist visits in March 2022.

The number of foreign tourists visiting Jakarta rose 51.4 percent (m-to-m) in March 2022. The addition in foreign tourist visits also rose 128.7 percent compared to the same month the previous year.
