The number of foreign tourists visiting
Jakarta in September 2022, rose
significantly by 2,587.76 percent compared
to the same month the previous year up to
111,139 arrivals. However, foreign tourist
visits fell by 8.48 percent compared to the
last month.
Despite the decline, tourism continues to
show a strong recovery, with foreign tourist
arrivals reached 52.43 percent of prepandemic levels in September 2022. Before
the pandemic, foreign tourists who visited
in September 2019 recorded 211,956
arrivals.
In September 2022, foreign tourist arrivals
from the ASEAN region still dominated visits
to Jakarta, reached 38,007. Meanwhile,
based on nationality, tourists from Malaysia
had the highest number of arrivals at
14,692, increased by 13.90 compared to
the previous month.
