Abstract

In July 2023, the condition of the Jakarta hotel industry is relatively stable compared to the previous month. This condition can be seen from the performance of two leading indicators, namely the room occupancy rate and the average length of stay, which remained steady.

The occupancy rate for star hotel rooms in Jakarta was 55.50 percent or slightly decreased by 0.10 percentage points compared to June 2023. In line with the performance of the occupancy rate, the average length of stay of Jakarta star hotel guests in July 2023 slightly dropped by 0.01 days to 1.71 days compared to the month before.

On the other hand, the proportion of foreign guests in July 2023 increased significantly from 5.26 percent last month to 7.24 percent. The increase in the number of foreign guests contributed to the occupancy of five-star hotel rooms, which rose from 52.41 percent in June 2023 to 55.81 percent in the following month.
